Melbourne Fashion Week – Contemporary Fashion Runway Show

On Wednesday 30th of August I headed off to Melbourne Town Hall to see “Australian Contemporary Fashion” runway show.

The night was fantastic, the venue full to capacity with many fashion lovers wanting to see the summer collections.

There was this buzz in the air, we were all filled with excitement with the prospect of what is to come in Australian Fashion.

Designers brought to the runway their trademark looks and nothing out of the ordinary was shown to us.

Nevertheless it was a great opportunity to see our designers take the world around us.

The models were beautifully styled, with great hair and make up to match.

A highlight for the night was The Angel, dancing and moving, bringing a ethereal atmosphere to the show.

All in all the Melbourne Fashion Week was a success all shows and conferences I attended was filled with many fashion professionals and the general public who’s interested in fashion.

Australia is securing presence in the international market, our designers and fashion schools are raising their profile and reputation internationally.

The online publication “The Business of Fashion” is listing RMIT fashion course amongst  the 10 best fashion courses in the world. We can only get better and we will.

I also attended the “Emergent Fashion Designers” show, and I was left very impressed by the quality and imagination designers shown in their garments. The future is bright and I saw it.
