I am showing here my edit of New York Fashion Week.
I looked through all the shows, and curated the most wearable looks of all collections.
here are some observations I care to share with you.
White is definitely the colour for the Spring /Summer 2016 season.
Denim is also used with great dexterity by many designers, with special attention to Adam Seldom, who managed to transform denim into a summer fabric, his clothes look so light, makes me want to wear them now.
I love all the midi and maxis skirts that permeated most collections, it is so refreshing to see skirts that are wearable by most of us, I for one, cannot afford the minuscule skirts that fill our stores.
Altuzarra brought back the suits, with embellishments that make the seem less formal, the working girl does not need to look dull.
There is so much to admire in those collections, Jason Vu’s ruffles dresses with fabrics that seem so light and soft,
A Detacher’s puffed sleeves, Christian Siriano’s dresses, amazing prints from Baja East, Pamela Rolland double prints, take it all in and make it your own.
Victoria Beckham’s collection is just great, oh so chick, Victoria is very talented, time is making her more confident and it shows in her creations.
I also loved Tibi’s sequins for day wear, let’s go lunch and glitter in the sun.
There is a lot for us to observe and translate in to our every day task of looking good without breaking the bank.
enjoy the pictures.
