Maticevski: Dark Wonderland will include objects from the designer’s early practice through to his most recent creations. Sourced from his extensive personal archive, Dark Wonderland reveals the beauty and breadth of his oeuvre, with elegant and ethereal objects contrasting with bold sculptural garments that transform the human form.
Highlights include the Monaco Gown worn by Princess Mary to the King’s 80th, and the specially commissioned gold lame gown worn by Jessica Mauboy for Eurovision 2014.
The exhibition will open to the public Saturday 13 August 2016.

After closing his studio in 1976, Talbot donated more than 37,000 negatives to the National Gallery of Victoria. From May through August, 80 of Talbot’s photographs, which were curated by National Gallery of Victoria senior photography curator Susan van Wyk, are on free exhibit at the Melbourne Museum’s Ian Potter Gallery at Federation Square. Emma Watson, is quietly making an impact on the way we wear fashion, her Met Gala dress is stunning, “a masterpiece” in her own words. In this video she talks to Derek Glasberg for CNN, about the creative process and the materials chosen to fashion her dress, the fabric used was made from Newlife, a yarn made from 100 percent post-consumer plastic bottles; and the detailing on the bustier was made with organic silk and cotton.
