Louis Vuitton

The exhibition taking place in Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a building designed by the late architect Zaha  Hadid and Samoo, in Seoul.
The exhibition depicts the house of Louis Vuitton’s beginnings in 1854 to today, under the direction of Olivier Saillard, who is responsible for curating the event.
The exhibition is divided into 10 chapters or themes, from the house’s launch of the iconic Louis Vuitton trunk, taking the viewer into a journey though the history of this iconic French House.
Here you will see collaborations the Maison Luis Vuitton has forged with artists like, Takashi Murakami, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama  and others,  resulting in commercial success, with most bags ending up as coveted collector’s items.
Special attention to the Robert Carsen’s exhibition design, it is rich and evocative of the many phases the Maison Louis Vuitton has gone through, from the specially designed car interiors, to the ‘Out of Africa’  luggage and tents used in the intrepid expeditions, all in the inimitable Louis Vuitton style.
Curator: Olivier Saillard
Artistic Director and Set Designer: Robert Carsen

A Millennial’s Guide to Email Etiquette – Vogue
